Robinhood has shared a broad set of updates to its prediction markets, also known as event contracts, with a strong focus on expanding sports-related offerings tied to NFL football. The announcements were during the company’s “Robinhood Presents: YES/NO” event held in San Francisco, where Chairman and CEO Vlad Tenev outlined new trading features alongside updates to the Robinhood Cortex AI experience and portfolio-level insights.
Prediction markets, which launched toward the end of last year, have quickly become Robinhood’s fastest-growing product line by revenue. The platform has recorded more than 11 billion contracts traded by over one million customers. According to the company, user feedback has centered on the need for a wider range of contracts and more advanced tools.
In response, Robinhood has expanded its prediction markets hub since Thanksgiving with features such as limit orders, dollar-based trading, round-the-clock access, a live sports contract hub, and enhanced event detail pages. Thousands of live events across economics, politics, sports, and culture have also been added.
Robinhood Updates Event Contracts Lineup: Parlays & Players
The latest updates introduce preset combinations, commonly known as parlays, for individual professional football games. These contracts bundle outcomes, totals, and spreads within a single game and pay out if all conditions resolve correctly. Robinhood also plans to roll out custom combinations early next year, allowing users to combine up to ten outcomes into one contract.
In addition, player-based contracts are now available, enabling customers to trade on individual NFL player performances such as touchdowns, passing yards, and rushing yards in real time. Similar player contracts for other sports are going to follow.
Alongside prediction market updates, Robinhood introduced the next generation of Robinhood Cortex, its AI-powered assistant for Gold subscribers. The new version will be embedded across the app, connecting real-time market data, research, and portfolio-specific insights while allowing users to take actions using plain language commands. The updated Cortex experience is ready to roll out in the first quarter of next year.
Robinhood also announced personalized portfolio Digests powered by Cortex. These summaries will explain daily portfolio movements, highlight upcoming events, and provide benchmark comparisons, with updates refreshing throughout the day. Portfolio Digests are going to begin rolling out to Robinhood Gold subscribers early next year.
