Plus500 New Share Buyback Programme to Strengthen Capital

Plus500 Ltd has announced the start of a new share buyback programme, under which the company plans to repurchase up to $100 million of its ordinary shares. The initiative forms part of the $187.5 million shareholder return plan outlined in the company’s FY 2025 Preliminary Results, published on 9 February 2026.

The previously announced return package includes $87.5 million in total dividends, alongside the newly launched buyback scheme. According to the company, the programme reflects its ongoing commitment to returning capital to shareholders while maintaining financial flexibility.

As of 31 December 2025, Plus500 reported cash holdings of approximately $0.8 billion on its balance sheet. The company stated that this strong liquidity position allows it to pursue both organic and inorganic growth opportunities, while continuing to support shareholder distributions.

Under the current shareholder authorization, Plus500 is ready to repurchase up to 3,769,933 shares. This figure represents the remaining capacity approved at the company’s Annual General Meeting held on 6 May 2025, after taking into account shares already repurchased under the same authority. The company also confirmed that it intends to seek renewed approval from shareholders at its upcoming AGM to extend its ability to conduct further buybacks.

All share purchases will be through open market transactions and will depend on factors such as market conditions, share price movements, and trading volumes. The programme will be managed by Panmure Liberum Limited, which has been appointed to operate the buyback on an irrevocable and non-discretionary basis, within agreed parameters.

The buyback programme will remain in effect from today until no later than the announcement of Plus500’s FY 2026 Preliminary Results. The company noted that purchases may continue during closed periods, in line with applicable regulations.

Plus500 stated that the programme is going to support its capital management strategy and align long-term shareholder interests with the company’s financial position and future plans.
