So, Crusoe describes itself as an “AI factory company” focused on expanding access to energy and computing capacity. Its business combines large-scale energy sources with AI-optimized data centers and an AI cloud platform designed to support customers developing and operating advanced computing workloads.
The investment comes as demand for AI infrastructure continues to drive substantial capital requirements across data centers, energy and cloud computing. Crusoe’s energy-first model places power availability at the center of its infrastructure strategy, while its data center and cloud operations are designed around the requirements of AI workloads.
For Robinhood Ventures Fund I, the Crusoe investment adds another private technology company to a portfolio that already includes several high-profile businesses. The closed-end fund currently provides investors with exposure to a concentrated portfolio of primarily private companies, including Airwallex, Boom, Canva, Databricks, ElevenLabs, Mercor, OpenAI, Oura, Ramp, Revolut, SpaceX, Stripe and Whatnot.
Robinhood Ventures Fund I is the first fund by Robinhood Ventures and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on March 6, 2026, under the ticker RVI.
The Crusoe transaction further broadens the fund’s exposure to private-market companies benefiting from long-term investment in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, financial technology and digital infrastructure.
