eToro has agreed to acquire LB Finanzas, an Argentine all-in-one financial app, as it looks to expand its presence in Latin America.
The acquisition strengthens eToro’s position in Argentina, which the company intends to use as a regional hub for its Latin American operations. The move reflects its strategy of building a localized presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing fintech markets.
Founded in Rosario, LB Finanzas has recorded significant growth in its user base and trading volumes, reflecting increasing demand among Argentine retail investors for accessible investment services. Its integrated platform combines investment products, including equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), cryptocurrencies and money market funds, with payment solutions. Users can also access accounts denominated in Argentine pesos and US dollars.
eToro to Acquire Argentine Fintech App LB Finanzas
Yoni Assia, Co-founder and CEO of eToro, said the two companies share a commitment to making investment tools and financial knowledge more accessible. He added that combining LB Finanzas’ local expertise with eToro’s global scale and product offering would help accelerate the company’s expansion across the region.
Camilo Cristia, Co-founder and CEO of LB Finanzas, said the business was established to give Argentine investors access to the same investment tools available internationally. He noted that the acquisition would support further product development and expansion while maintaining continuity for existing clients, including retaining the team they already know.
Also, the agreement represents eToro’s fourth acquisition announced in 2026, highlighting its continued focus on inorganic growth alongside its existing business operations.
In April, eToro agreed to acquire Zengo, a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet provider, in a deal reported at approximately $70 million. In May, it acquired Israeli cryptocurrency exchange Bit2C. The company subsequently announced an agreement in August to acquire US-based brokerage TradeZero for $231 million.
The latest transaction adds an established local financial platform to eToro’s growing portfolio of acquisitions. With its existing financial position and expansion strategy, the company is pursuing both organic development and acquisitions to broaden its product offering and strengthen its international presence.
