Bloomberg Tradebook and Eurex Announce Strategic Collaboration

Bloomberg Tradebook LLC today announced a strategic collaboration with Eurex to offer enhanced trading capabilities. The partnership will enable firms to directly access Eurex member banks and market makers through the Bloomberg Tradebook front-end, streamlining the trading process and simplifying the execution of off-book transactions.

This collaboration removes the need for complex tri-party give-up agreements with Eurex market makers, allowing firms to leverage their existing clearing broker relationships. The new solution will support all equity options, futures traded on Eurex, and FX derivatives, contributing to the electronification of the European off-book business.

The integration empowers firms to have more control over their trading flow, while Eurex market makers can directly respond to this flow without incurring additional costs. This development aims to deliver tighter spreads and increased market participation, benefiting both sides of the transaction.

One of the key advantages for participants is seamless integration with their existing workflows and clearing setups, offering an easy transition into the new system. Customizable RFQs (Requests for Quotes) will allow clients to maintain control over trade visibility and anonymity, minimizing the risk of information leakage during off-book trades—transactions executed away from public order books between two parties.

André Eue, Head of Market Development & Pricing at Eurex, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “Direct access to Enlight through Bloomberg Tradebook represents a major step forward in providing market participants with greater efficiency, cost savings, and control in off-book trading.”

Also, Brian Coffaro, Global Head of Futures and Options Trading at Bloomberg, added, “This connectivity between Eurex and Bloomberg Tradebook enables a streamlined trading workflow for our mutual clients, enhancing their ability to find liquidity and execute trades at optimal prices.”

Bloomberg Tradebook is part of Bloomberg Electronic Trading, which serves over 9,000 client firms across 175 global markets, offering advanced trading tools and comprehensive liquidity solutions.
