CMC Markets has launched new Prime Services capabilities through its institutional division, CMC Connect, as the company expands its multi-asset offering for institutional and B2B clients.
The new Prime Services solution is designed to support changing institutional trading requirements by combining financing, execution, and post-trade support within a single environment. Through the offering, clients can access global cash equities, ETFs and synthetic single stock exposure using direct market access (DMA) and smart order routing across exchanges, multi-lateral trading facilities (MTFs) and liquidity venues worldwide.
Trading is available either through FIX connectivity or directly via the CMC Connect trading platform, allowing institutions to integrate the services into their existing workflows and trading infrastructure.

CMC Markets said the expansion reflects rising demand from institutional participants for more integrated and technology-focused prime brokerage solutions across global markets. The rollout also supports the company’s broader growth plans within the institutional segment, with onboarding available across the UK and Middle East through CMC’s infrastructure.
Chirag Gajjar, Head of Prime Finance at CMC Markets, said the development marks another stage in the expansion of CMC Connect’s institutional business.
“Our Prime Services buildout is a significant step forward in the continued expansion of CMC Connect’s institutional offering,” Gajjar said.
“Institutional clients increasingly expect multi-asset solutions that combine execution, financing and technology within a single environment. Expanding our Prime capabilities strengthens our ability to deliver more integrated and tailored solutions across global markets.”
Chris Cheverall, Head of UK at CMC Markets, said the new capabilities form part of the company’s broader institutional strategy.
“Prime Services strengthens our multi-asset proposition and represents another step in the ongoing evolution of CMC’s institutional offering through product expansion, infrastructure investment and platform innovation,” Cheverall commented.
The launch comes as institutional trading firms continue seeking more flexible execution and financing arrangements, alongside broader access to global liquidity and multi-asset trading solutions through consolidated platforms.
