Compagnie Financière Tradition Records Q4 2023 Revenue Surge
Compagnie Financière Tradition, commonly known as CFT, operates as an interdealer broker and manages Gaitame, a prominent retail forex broker in Japan. The company’s interdealer broking business (IDB) contributed significantly to the quarterly revenue, reaching CHF 253.8 million compared to CHF 242.7 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. However, the non-interdealer brokering business (non-IDB), which includes retail trading operations in Japan, reported revenue of CHF 6.6 million, down from CHF 8.2 million.
For the full-year performance in 2023, CFT reported an annual reported revenue of CHF 982.4 million, with the adjusted figure exceeding CHF 1.05 billion. This demonstrates growth compared to the previous year, when the figures stood at CHF 947.4 million and CHF 1.02 billion, respectively. The interdealer broking business played a crucial role in this performance, contributing CHF 1.02 billion to the total annual figure, while non-IDB revenue declined to CHF 31.4 million from CHF 33.9 million.
CFT attributed its success to several factors, citing the normalization of central banks’ monetary policies, an increase in interest rates, and a complex geopolitical environment. The company highlighted its favorable market conditions in the energy and commodity sectors, along with the successful development of its market data commercialization activities.
As Compagnie Financière Tradition continues to navigate dynamic market conditions, these positive financial results underscore its resilience and strategic positioning in the interdealer broking and forex trading sectors.
