Compagnie Financière Tradition SA, a leading global interdealer broker in over-the-counter financial and commodity-related products, announced its financial results for 2024, showcasing robust growth driven by a volatile macroeconomic environment.
In 2024, the world’s largest economies underwent significant shifts in monetary policy, and ongoing geopolitical uncertainties created heightened volatility in financial markets. These factors led to an increase in trading volumes across various regions and asset classes, benefiting the Group’s performance. The company’s growth was further by its continued focus on organic expansion.
Compagnie Financière Tradition Reports Strong 2024 Financial Results
The Group’s consolidated revenue, including the share of joint ventures, rose by 11.0% at constant exchange rates to CHF 1,132.8 million, up from CHF 1,053.9 million in 2023. Revenue from the interdealer broking business (IDB) grew by 10.7% at constant exchange rates to CHF 1,097.8 million, while the online Forex trading business in Japan (Non-IDB) saw a significant increase of 22.6%, reaching CHF 35.0 million.
Operating profit, including the share of joint ventures, rose 23.2% at constant exchange rates to CHF 152.4 million, compared with CHF 127.7 million in 2023. This resulted in an operating margin of 13.4%, up from 12.1% last year. The Group also reported consolidated revenue of CHF 1,051.6 million and operating profit of CHF 125.4 million, reflecting increases of 10.4% and 21.6%, respectively, at constant exchange rates.
Financial performance was further bolstered by net financial income of CHF 2.7 million, reversing the previous year’s net financial expense of CHF 4.1 million. The Group’s consolidated net profit surged to CHF 123.3 million, a 27.0% increase at constant exchange rates compared with 2023, with a Group share of CHF 115.6 million.
The Board will propose a cash dividend of CHF 6.75 per share at the Annual General Meeting on 22 May 2025. Looking ahead, the Group plans to invest further in digitalization, data analytics, and maintaining a strong balance sheet to ensure long-term competitiveness.
