Interactive Brokers Client Portal- New Features!

Interactive Brokers has rolled out significant updates to its Client Portal Order Ticket. The latest improvements include a redesigned horizontal layout, catering to different screen sizes and eliminating the need for excessive scrolling during order creation.

The new horizontal orientation offers users a more intuitive interface, facilitating a seamless order entry process. Notably, the vertical layout is still accessible through the “Quick” order ticket, located on the right side of the Client Portal interface for users who prefer the traditional format.

These updates are not just for the Client Portal alone; the Advisor Portal has also undergone changes. A notable addition is the support for Advisor Allocations, allowing advisors to select an existing Allocation Group from the Account/Group drop-down. The default Allocation Method for the group is in the order line. Traders will be able to customize it on a per-order basis as needed.

Interactive Brokers Upgrades Client Portal

These enhancements will gradually roll out to clients over the coming weeks, ensuring a smooth transition to the updated platform. Furthermore, Interactive Brokers has introduced support for Trailing Stop and Trailing Stop Limit orders in the Client Portal, providing users with more advanced trading options.

Among the array of bug fixes, the previously truncated “Buying Power” field has been rectified to display the full value accurately. The Trades section of the Orders & Trades screen now features a Total Amount field, showcasing the transaction total minus fees.

Additional improvements include the reintroduction of the privacy toggle to the Quote Details page and a fix for the “Deposit” button linking to an incorrect account for users with multiple accounts. The Order Ticket’s Symbol Search field is also updated to display the proper ticker when Quote Details are opened for a different instrument.

Interactive Brokers has also addressed issues such as the inadvertent removal of Overnight contracts from a Watchlist and the disabling of the volume indicator for security types that do not support it, including Forex, commodities, and bonds.

These updates mark a significant step forward in Interactive Brokers’ commitment to providing a user-friendly, efficient, and bug-free trading experience for its clients.
