Broadridge Financial Solutions announced today that Monex will migrate its JASDEC Processing Solutions (JASDECPS) system to Broadridge’s advanced cloud-based SaaS platform. The transition is scheduled to go live in May 2026.
So, the move supports Monex’s strategic alignment with the upcoming JASDEC2025 market initiative, which mandates key updates in securities processing systems by early 2026. By shifting to Broadridge’s SaaS model, Monex aims to enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Monex Shift to Cloud-Based Securities SaaS Platform
“Monex, Inc.’s history with Broadridge has been one of innovation and mutual growth,” said Motoki Kitamura, Expert Director of Operations at Monex, Inc. “This transition will provide more stable services and allow us to flexibly adapt to Japan’s evolving financial landscape.”
Monex first implemented Broadridge’s JASDECPS in 2016. The migration to a SaaS environment will eliminate the need for on-premises hardware and reduce system maintenance burdens. This will allow Monex to allocate more resources toward business growth amid rising market demands.
“Monex’s decision highlights the value of our transformative technology and deep regulatory expertise,” said David Runacres, President of APAC and Senior Country Officer of Japan at Broadridge. “We are proud to support Monex in achieving greater operational resilience and cost efficiency.”
Also, by joining Broadridge’s SaaS ecosystem, Monex will benefit from automated upgrades, streamlined IT operations, and improved agility in responding to changing market conditions.
This transition reflects a broader industry shift toward cloud-based infrastructure, enabling financial firms to navigate regulatory challenges while exploring new growth avenues. Broadridge continues to lead in supporting seamless technology migrations across Asia’s financial landscape.
JASDEC, Japan’s Central Securities Depository, is driving the JASDEC2025 system overhaul to modernize post-trade processing. Broadridge’s JASDECPS solution enables straight-through processing and full compliance with the new standards.
As the industry adapts to the forthcoming JASDEC2025 requirements, this move not only enhances Monex’s ability to meet regulatory standards but also positions the firm for long-term growth and resilience. With Broadridge’s trusted technology and expertise, Monex is well-equipped to deliver enhanced services to its clients while navigating the evolving landscape of Japan’s financial markets.
