OANDA Expands US and European Stocks CFDs in the UK

OANDA has announced the addition of share CFDs on US and European listed stocks to its contracts-for-difference (CFD) range in the UK through its FCA-regulated entity, OANDA Europe Limited. This move is part of a broader update that includes the launch of a new “OANDA One” sub-account, enabling users to trade via the latest version of the MetaTrader platform, MT5.

OANDA Expands US and European Stocks CFDs in the UK

The introduction of share CFDs aligns with OANDA’s strategy to enhance its product offering, allowing retail traders to access popular stocks from major US and European companies. With this update, clients can now trade CFDs on individual shares, such as Tesla, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Allianz, Siemens, and Carrefour, among others. This expansion provides opportunities for traders across countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.

Marcin Niewiadomski, OANDA’s Managing Director for Europe, highlighted the growing demand for CFDs, which offer traders the ability to benefit from price fluctuations without owning the underlying assets. “CFDs allow exposure to both rising and falling markets, giving traders the flexibility to take advantage of volatility. By offering leveraged access to a diverse selection of leading companies from the US and multiple European markets, we are giving our clients valuable diversification opportunities across sectors and geographies,” he explained.

This new offering marks a significant milestone for OANDA as it expands its platform capabilities. In addition to sharing CFDs, OANDA’s platform continues to support a wide range of asset classes, including indices, forex, commodities, metals, and bonds, making it easier for UK clients to trade across diverse markets with a user-friendly interface.

The company’s recent acquisition by Czech prop trading firm FTMO (pending regulatory approvals) further strengthens its position in the global trading landscape, promising more innovations in the future.
