The affected currency pairs include TRY/JPY, EUR/TRY, and USD/TRY. Prior to the change, trading hours for these pairs ran nearly 24 hours from Monday morning through to early Saturday, operating on U.S. time zones:

• Monday 7:05 AM to Saturday 6:59 AM (U.S. Standard Time)
• Monday 6:05 AM to Saturday 5:59 AM (U.S. Daylight Saving Time)

Following the update, trading will be limited to European time zones during weekdays only:

• Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM the next day (Central European Standard Time)
• Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM the next day (Central European Summer Time)

OANDA Japan cites ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Turkish Lira in financial markets, including forex, as the primary reason behind this change. Liquidity for TRY pairs remains low, particularly during early Asian morning hours, often leading to unstable price distributions. This volatility poses challenges in maintaining a consistent and stable trading environment.
