Pepperstone has recently appointed Dianah Njeri Igati as the Regional Head of Compliance for multiple regions, including Australia, UAE, Asia-Pacific, LATAM, the Middle East, and the Bahamas. This strategic move comes on the heels of Pepperstone’s successful launch of its spread betting feature on TradingView.

In her new role, Igati will play a crucial role in overseeing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance, as well as managing risk activities in accordance with the regulatory frameworks of various local regulators. These regulators include the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Dubai Financial Services Authority (UAE DFSA), Bahamas Securities Commission (SCB), and Financial Services Commission (Mauritius).

Dianah Njeri Igati brings a wealth of experience in compliance and legal practice to her new position. Prior to joining Pepperstone, she served as the Senior Consultant, Head of Compliance, and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at Scope Markets Kenya for over four years. In this role, she played a pivotal role in developing and implementing corporate governance practices, duties, and requirements.

Igati’s impressive professional background also includes her current role as a member of the Professional Development Committee at The Institute of Certified Secretaries since September 2021. Her educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS University of London.

In addition to her compliance expertise, Igati has actively participated in negotiations and policy reviews. She has conducted extensive research and provided legal advice on interdisciplinary project workflows and project management in general. With her diverse skill set and extensive industry knowledge, Dianah Njeri Igati is expected to make significant contributions to Pepperstone’s operations and compliance initiatives across the specified regions.
