Pepperstone has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the granting of a Category 5 license by the UAE SCA and the opening of a new onshore office in Dubai’s Emaar Square, Building 3, 3rd Floor, Office 2. The move marks a key step in the firm’s regional strategy, positioning Pepperstone closer to stakeholders in one of the world’s fastest-growing and most sophisticated trading markets.
The SCA Category 5 license authorises Pepperstone to provide “Arrangement and Advice” services in the UAE, covering regulated marketing, promotion, advisory, and introduction activities for professional clients and partners within the onshore framework. This regulatory approval allows the company to engage with local clients in a fully compliant and transparent manner, meeting governance standards set by the UAE authorities.
Pepperstone Granted UAE SCA Category 5 License to Boost Operations
The Dubai office will act as Pepperstone’s regional hub for the UAE and wider MENA region. It will host relationship management, commercial support, and educational initiatives, while serving as a central point of contact for institutional clients, professional traders, and introducing brokers.
“Securing our SCA Category 5 license and opening our onshore office in Emaar Square is a strategic milestone for Pepperstone in the Middle East,” said Gescard Hessen, Head of MENA at Pepperstone. “The UAE is one of the most dynamic trading hubs globally. Being onshore under the SCA framework allows us to engage more closely with clients and partners, respond faster to market changes, and deepen our investment in the region’s growth story.”
Also, this development follows Pepperstone’s 2025 expansion efforts, including geographic growth, new product offerings, and the launch of a spot crypto exchange. The company also recently appointed Geraldine Goh as Group CMO based in Singapore to drive global marketing initiatives.
The UAE license complements Pepperstone’s existing international regulatory footprint, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality execution and regulatory clarity. Together with its licenses in other key jurisdictions, the move underscores Pepperstone’s strategy of operating at scale under clearly defined regulatory frameworks, while providing professional clients with technology, infrastructure, and support aligned with global standards.
