Swissquote Fractional Trading & Saving Plan to Empower Investors

Swissquote Goes Digital with ‘Bright’ and ‘Light’ Banking Packages

Swissquote has unveiled its ambitious transformation into a digital bank, introducing two cutting-edge daily banking packages named ‘Bright’ and ‘Light.’ This strategic move, announced on Thursday, underscores the company’s commitment to providing comprehensive financial solutions to its customers.

Both ‘Bright’ and ‘Light’ packages offer daily banking services designed to meet the modern customer’s needs, complemented by a multi-currency and crypto-friendly Mastercard debit card. Swissquote has recognized the growing demand for a versatile and fully digital banking experience.

Swissquote Goes Digital with Bright & Light Packages

Jan De Schepper, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Swissquote, expressed the rationale behind the launch, stating, “Our new banking and debit card packages cater to a specific demand that many of our customers have expressed strongly: the need for a multi-currency, crypto-friendly, and fully digital solution. They combine the most requested payment features with our innovative Trading Credit cashback program. Payments are as secure as always, but now also physical-wallet-free, no matter where or when.”

The ‘Bright’ package offers the most comprehensive banking package, including physical and digital debit cards. Initially, users enjoy six months of free services, after which a monthly fee of CHF 6.9 applies to continue accessing this premium offering. For those seeking a cost-effective option, ‘Light’ provides a virtual debit card while granting access to all digital banking services with no monthly fees.

Under the ‘Bright’ package, users can enjoy transactions involving 13 different currencies and up to five free ATM withdrawals monthly. Additionally, the Mastercard debit card supports payments in popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple, with Swissquote planning to expand the range of supported cryptocurrencies.

To incentivize usage, Swissquote has introduced a unique cashback program. Users of the digital banking services will receive Trading Credits with each expenditure. The amount of Trading Credits awarded varies depending on the account tier: 0.5 percent for regular card payments and 1 percent for ‘Bright’ users. In comparison, ‘Light’ users will receive 0.25 percent for regular card payments and 0.5 percent for crypto payments.

Promotion of Nestor Verrier- Another Development!

In another significant development, Swissquote announced the promotion of Nestor Verrier, its General Manager, to Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2024. This transition marks the retirement of Lino Finini, a longstanding executive within the company, and underscores Swissquote’s commitment to nurturing talent from within its ranks.

Swissquote’s foray into digital banking and the launch of ‘Bright’ and ‘Light’ packages are poised to provide a holistic and modern banking experience for its diverse customer base. With a strong emphasis on digital convenience, cryptocurrency integration, and competitive pricing, Swissquote is set to further solidify its position as a prominent player in the financial services sector.
